Sissonville Triumph Over Elkview Win KCMS Championship 4-2

Redhawks were the first to get on the board in the first when Elkview induced Cooper Hall to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. A fielder's choice by Cooper Nooney extended the SMS lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning.

Layne Coffman earned the win for Sissonville. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking two. Johnson took the loss for Elk Herd Varsity. The starting pitcher went one and one-third innings, allowing two runs on one hit, striking out one and walking three. Brayden Scarberry collected the save.

Jaxon Asbury and Nooney each collected one hit for SMS Baseball 2024. Hall and Nooney each drove in one run for SMS.Redhawks had patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Landon Chapman, Zach Stuck, Asbury, and Coffman led the team with two walks each. Stuck stole two bases,Sissonvile turned two double plays in the game. One crucial double play came with bases loaded and 1 out to get out of the inning with out allowing The Herd to score a run.

Elkview had some  pop in the middle of the lineup, and scored two runs to close the gap to 4-2. In the top the 7th inning the Redhawks would settle as Scarberry struck out the first batter. The second batter reach first on a error. So with 1 out the Redhawks turned a double play to end the game and take the victory. The Redhawks completed a perfect season going undefeated and winning the KCMS Baseball Championship.

Sissonville Hold of Rival Elkview 8-6

         Sissonville got out to a 6-run lead in the fourth inning and held on for an 8-6 victory over Elk Herd Varsity on Tuesday. Elk Herd  closed the gap by scoring on a fielder's choice, a single, a walk, an error, and a double.

         The Ville got on the board in the top of the second inning after Deacon Moore singled, scoring two runs, and Cooper Nooney was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

Jaxon Asbury earned the win for the Redhawks

       The righty allowed three hits and four runs (three earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out two and walking nine. Landon Koepsel started the game for Elkview. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and six runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking three. Brayden Scarberry collected the save.

        Chase Litton, Scarberry, and Moore each collected two hits for SMS. Scarberry and Moore each drove in three runs for Sissonville. The Redhawks turned two double plays in the game.

 

 

The Ville downs John Adams in 5 innings 10-0

       Cooper Nooney drove in four runs on three hits to lead Redhawks past John Adams Falcons 10-0 on Thursday. Nooney doubled in the fourth inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the fifth inning, scoring one.

      SMS got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Nooney grounded out, and Falcon pitcher balked, each scoring one run.

      Sissonville added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Brayden Scarberry singled, and Deacon Moore walked, each scoring one run.

     Jaxon Asbury earned the win for Redhawks. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. John Adams  gave up six hits and eight runs over four innings, striking out four and walking seven.

      Layne Coffman and Braydon Scarberry each collected multiple hits. Sissonville had a strong eye at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Cooper Hall and Moore led the team with two free passes each. Asbury, Coffman, and Moore each stole multiple bases for SMS. Sissonville stole six bases in the game.

 

Redhawks down Dunbar 17-1

       Cooper Hall collected three hits in three at bats, as SMS defeated Bulldogs 17-1 on Wednesday. Hall singled in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the third inning.

         Sissonville scored 12 runs in the first inning on the way to victory. Cooper Nooney doubled, scoring one run, Hall drew a walk, scoring one run, Deacon Moore drew a walk, scoring one run, Landon Chapman singled, scoring one run, Chase Litton drew a walk, scoring one run, Zach Stuck drew a walk, scoring one run, Layne Coffman doubled, scoring two runs, Nooney singled, scoring one run, Hall singled, scoring one run, Moore singled, scoring one run, and  Chapman to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

        Redhawks scored five runs on nine hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Waylon Richardson singled, scoring one run, Hall singled, scoring one run, Moore to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Litton singled, scoring one run, and Stuck singled, scoring one run.

      Litton earned the win for Sissonville. They allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Dunbar surrendered 13 hits and 12 runs over three innings, striking out none and walking six. Ryker Wiseman tossed two innings of shutout ball for SMS in relief. The southpaw surrendered zero hits, striking out four and walking two.

        Sissonville  accumulated 22 hits in the game. Hall, Chapman, and Litton each collected three hits for  Redhawks. Blake Long, Cam Bailey, Coffman, and Nooney each collected multiple hits. SMS  worked the count all day, piling up six walks.

Next up for Redhawks, the John Adams Falcons on Thursday come to Sissonville.

SMS won big over DuPont Panthers 17-3

      SMS got on the board in the top of the first inning after Cooper Nooney walked, and Brayden Scarberry hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

      SMS scored six runs on three hits in the top of the second inning. Zach Stuck drew a walk, scoring one run, Lane Coffman doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and Deacon Moore singled, scoring two runs.

       Three more runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 11-3. Coffman tripled, scoring one run, and Nooney hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs.

       Scarberry earned the win. The righty allowed one hit and three runs over one inning, striking out two and walking five. Cam Bailey pitched three innings in relief. The right-handed pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs while, striking out seven and walking two.

      Coffman and Moore each collected two hits. Coffman, Scarberry, Nooney, and Moore each drove in two runs. Cooper Hall led SMS with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 12 walks for the game. Coffman, Nooney, and Moore each stole multiple bases. Redhawks stole 11 bases in the game. SMS turned one double play in the game.

Redhawks Firing On All Cylinders Against SCMS 17-7

SMS  easily dispatched SCMS Cubs on Tuesday, 17-7.

      SMS Baseball 2024 got on the board in the top of the first inning after an error scored one run, an error scored one run, Deacon Moore singled, scoring two runs, Chase Litton grounded out, scoring one run, Cam Bailey grounded out, scoring one run, and Lane Coffman singled, scoring one run.

      SMS l  added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Litton walked, and   scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.

     Asbury earned the win for Redhawks. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking none.

    They gave up four hits and seven runs (two earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking three. Coffman pitched one inning of no-run ball for SMS Baseball 2024 in relief. They surrendered zero hits, striking out three and walking none.

      Redhawks tallied 12 hits in the game.. Bailey led SMS  with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day.

      Coffman led SMS  with three hits in three at bats from the leadoff position. Cooper Hall and Stuck each collected multiple hits for SMS . Long paced SMS 4 with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. SMS were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Nooney had the most chances in the field with eight.

       Sissonville welcomes Dunbars Middle Bulldogs on Thursday at home.

SMS Impressive In Win Against Hayes Hornets

SMS easily dispatched Hayes Hornets on Friday, 11-5.

SMS  jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jaxon Asbury grounded out, scoring one run, and Deacon Moore tripled, scoring two runs.

Hayes Hornets tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to two walks and an error.

Hayes Hornets took the lead in the bottom of the second Hayes lined out, scoring one run, to give Hayes Hornets the edge.

      SMS Baseball 2024 made the score 7-4 in the top of the fifth after Cooper Hall hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Lane Coffman singled, scoring two runs.

 Asbury earned the win for SMS

They surrendered three hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking four. Chance Campbell stepped on the mound first for Hayes Hornets. The righty gave up two hits and three runs over four innings, striking out four and walking six. Brayden Scarberry collected the save.

Moore, Scarberry, and Coffman each drove in two runs for SMS 4. Cooper Nooney paced the Redhawks with four walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 11 walks for the game. Nooney and Coffman each stole multiple bases for SMS . The Redhawks  ran wild on the base paths, tallying nine stolen bases for the game.

Hayes batters provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and Hornets got two runs batted in.

Hayes Hornets had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. 

SMS will travel to DuPont for their next game on Wednesday.

Cooper Nooney Puts On Strong Contact Performance As SMS Take The Win Over Charleston Catholic

        Cooper Nooney collected three hits in three at bats, as SMS defeated Charleston Catholic  17-3 on Monday. Nooney tripled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

SMS jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Brayden Scarberry drew a walk, scoring one run, Cooper Hall grounded out, scoring one run, and Deacon Moore hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs

Redhawks added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Lane Coffman tripled, Nooney singled, and SMS Baseball 2024 scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.

Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 16 walks for the game. Nooney stole two bases. SMS ran wild on the base paths, tallying eight stolen bases for the game.

Cooper Hall Leads The Redhawks Past Andrew Jackson

      Cooper Hall collected three hits in three at bats, as Sissonville defeated AJ 21-1 on Wednesday. Hall doubled in the second inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the second inning.

    Sissonville  jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after an error scored two runs, Deacon Moore grounded out, scoring one run, Hall singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Cooper Nooney doubled, scoring three runs.

    SMS  scored 10 runs on six hits in the top of the second inning. Hall doubled, scoring one run, Zach Stuck singled, scoring three runs, Lane Coffman singled, scoring one run, Moore singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Landon Chapman was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and an error scored one run.

      Brayden Scarberry earned the win for SMS. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking none.  Cam Bailey appeared in relief for SMS.

    The Ville tallied 11 hits in the game. Moore and Nooney each drove in three runs for Redhawks. The Redhawks had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Chase Litton and Coffman led the team with two walks each. Coffman stole two bases. SMS stole six bases in the game. SMS Baseball 2024 turned one double play in the game

Redhawks hold off the Pioneers to take the win 9-8

       Sissonville  built a 4-run lead in the third inning and then held off Pioneers's charge for a 9-8 victory on Tuesday. Pioneers closed the gap by scoring on a single, a fielder's choice, a ground out, a ground out, and a SMS Baseball 2024 got on the board in the top of the first inning after Cooper Nooney walked, SMS Baseball 2024 scored on a passed ball, and Cooper Hall singled, each scoring one run.Pioneers tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a walk and a ground out made the score 7-3 in the top of the third after Chase Litton drew a walk, scoring one run, Landon Chapman singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.

      Knox Francisco earned the win for the Ville. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit and two runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three. The reliever went three innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out two and walking three. Deacon Moore opened the game for SMS. They surrendered two hits and five runs (four earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking seven. Levi H started the game for Pioneers. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and five runs (four earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking six. Brayden Scarberry collected the save. Lane Coffman appeared in relief for SMS.

     Hall led SMS Baseball 2024 with three runs batted in. The switch hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Hall, Chapman, Coffman, Jaxon Asbury, and Scarberry each collected one hit for SMS Baseball 2024.Scarberry paced SMS with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying 13 walks for the game. Coffman and Nooney each stole multiple bases for Sissonville. Redhawks Take Season Opener 5-4 over Horace Mann

       SMS Baseball 2024 beat Horace Mann Eagles 6-5 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the fifth when Cooper Hall drew a walk, scoring one run. SMS Baseball 2024 got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Jaxon Asbury doubled, and Deacon Moore walked, each scoring one run. Horace Mann Eagles captured the lead, 4-2, in the top of the third when the Eagles drew a walk, scoring one run, and singled, scoring three runs. SMS Baseball 2024 took the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Cooper Nooney doubled, Asbury singled, and Hall walked, each scoring one run. Horace Mann Eagles scored on a passed ball, which helped Horace Mann Eagles tie the game at five in the top of the fifth

        Asbury earned the win for SMS Baseball 2024. They allowed two hits and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out eight and walking three. The starting pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out six and walking three. Lane Coffman led things off on the mound for SMS Baseball 2024. They gave up one hit and three runs over two innings, striking out three and walking three.
