Wilson’s Perfect Game leaves Horace Mann Scoreless

Jozey Wilson struck out 12 batters as the pitcher led the Lady Redhawks past Horace Mann 18-0 on Wednesday. Wilson gave up zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking none.
Wilson also led the team offensively going 3-3 at the plate with a double, two singles, and a walk. Sissonville was the first to get on the board in the second when Kenzie Casdorph singled, scoring one run.
Singles from Autumn Thaxton & Makenna Parcell, a double by Wilson, and a ground out by Ava Robeson helped the Redhawks extend their early lead in the third.
Sissonville scored nine runs on one hit in the top of the fifth inning. Harley Moss singled, scoring one run, Laylie Dunlap, Riley Adkins, and Brooklyn Fields each drew a walk, scoring one run each, on top of several errors by Horace Mann that allowed for five more runs.
The LadyRedhawks collected 11 hits in the game. Makenna Parcell, Wilson and Casdorph each collected multiple hits.
Shayla Bonds led the team with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up 11 walks for the game. The Redhawks were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
The girls plays again on Friday at home against South Charleston at 6PM and look to extend their 5 game winning streak to 6.
Lady Redhawks down Hayes 5-3

The Sissonville Redhawks were victorious against Hayes Hornets on Monday with a 5-3 win on 8th Grade Night.
The Hayes Hornets opened the scoring in the first after a single scored one run.
In the bottom of the first inning, Sissonville got the lead after Hayes Hornets committed an error, and Ava Robeson singled, each scoring one run.
Another Hayes single helped the Hornets tie the game at two in the top of the second.
An inside the park home run by Jozey Wilson gave the Redhawks the lead, 5-2, in the bottom of the second when she picked up 2 RBIs.
Robeson started in the circle for Sissonville. The righty gave up seven hits and three runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking none.
Wilson pitched one inning of no-run ball for SMS in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out two and walking one.
The Lady Redhawks amassed seven hits in the game. Wilson drove the middle of the lineup, leading the team with two RBIs. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Harley Moss led the team going 2-3 at the plate and Makenna Parcell went 1-2 with a double and a walk.
Sissonville will travel to play Horace Mann at Capital High for their next game today at 5PM. JV game will follow.
Wilson Dominant in the Circle defeat Dupont 5-3

Jozey Wilson was dominant in the circle, as the hurler rang up 12 strikeouts in the Lady Redhawks 5-3 victory over Dupont on Thursday. Wilson surrendered six hits and three runs over seven innings while walking none.
Sissonville got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Addison Querry got on by an error, and Ava Robeson grounded out, each scoring one run. Dupont tied the game at two in the bottom of the fourth.
The Redhawks took the lead again in the top of the fifth. Autumn Thaxton got on by fielders choice, scoring two runs, to give the Redhawks the edge, 4-2.
Thaxton provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the team with two runs batted in. Harley Moss had the team’s one true hit, but SMS was able to take advantage of errors and mishaps by DuPont.
Makenna Parcell led the team with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. The Redhawks were strong on defense and collected a big team win.
The Lady Redhawks play again at home on Monday against the Hayes Hornets for 8th grade night.
Softball Sails Past Dunbar

SMS Lady Redhawks defeated Dunbar Middle School 12-0 on Wednesday. Ava Robeson led the team going 3-3.
Sissonville jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning with a few hits. In the second, Robeson doubled, making the score 4-0. Sissonville added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Harley Moss singled on a bunt, Shayla Bonds scored after tagging up, and Robeson tripled, each scoring one run.
The Redhawks scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Addison Querry doubled, scoring one run, Aubryana Kimble singled, scoring one run, Cheyenne Abernathy, Miley Richardson, and Riley Adkins all drew a walk that scored a run each.
Jozey Wilson earned the win for the Redhawks. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out eleven and walking none.
Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Makenna Parcell, Robeson, Richardson, and Autumn Thaxton each stole multiple bases. There were a total of 11 stolen bases in the game.
The Lady Redhawks take on Eastbank at home tonight at 6PM.
Errors lead Falcons past Redhawks 7-2

John Adams scored two runs in the top of the first inning to start off the Falcons. Autumn Thaxton answered back with a triple that scored two runs for the Redhawks. Several errors led the Falcons to score 5 more runs, all of which were unearned.
Jozey Wilson was in the circle with six strike outs and only one walk. John Adams executed 8 hits and scored on 6 errors. Makenna Parcell led Sissonville in the box going 2-3 at the plate. Shayla Bonds also added a single in the 5th inning.
The Lady Redhawks take on Dunbar today at 6PM.
Powerful Pitching Leads Lady Redhawks to Victory

Jozey Wilson was dominant in the circle, as the starting pitcher rang up 15 strikeouts in SMS RedHawks 2024's 4-0 victory over Andrew Jackson on Wednesday. Wilson allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking two. Addison Querry collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Querry hit an inside the park home run ni the seventh inning, doubled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning. SMS RedHawks 2024 were the first to get on the board in the fourth when Querry singled, scoring one run. SMS RedHawks 2024 added three more runs in the top of the seventh inning on four hits. Querry hit a solo inside the park home run, and Ava Robeson doubled, scoring two runs. Andrew Jackson gave up 11 hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking one. SMS RedHawks 2024 collected 1 hits in the game. Robeson and Querry each drove in two runs for SMS RedHawks 2024. Makenna Parcell collected two hits for SMS RedHawks 2024 in three at bats. SMS RedHawks 2024 were sure- handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Querry had the most chances in the field with 15.
